Aarushi (born 20 August 1993) is an Indian film and stage actress.[1] Aarushi has acted in Tamil, and Telugu films.[2]

Aarushi was born on 20 August 1993 in Bangalore. She did her schooling in Bangalore. Currently she is doing her Bsc Bio technology in Oxford College.[1]Template:What?

Career[edit | edit source]

Aarushi did her first film, the Kannada film Hendithge Helthini starring Vishnuvardhan, as a child artiste when she was in class one.[2] It was her only film as a child actist and she stated that her grandfather wanted her to concentrate on studies.[2] She was 15 years old when she was offered her first advertisement and started her modelling career. Since then she has appeared in over 3000 advertisements in several languages.[2]

15 years after her first film, she made her debut in a lead role in the Tamil romance film Alagan Alagi directed by Nanda Periyasamy,[3] which featured her as one of 34 debutants.[4] The film received mixed reviews,[5][6] but The New Indian Express wrote that she "does well".[7] Post Alagan Alagi she signed on two more Tamil films Adithalam [8] and Ganja Karuppu's Velmurugan Borewells,[9] both opposite actor Mahesh.[2] Her debut Telugu film was Premantene Chitram,[10] which released during Diwali 2013.[11]

Currently she is doing two Telugu films Prabhanjanam [12] and Heroine Missing.
